Paula served on the San Clemente City Council Human Affairs Committee from 2017 to 2021 and organized presentations and discussion groups on the state of the city regarding homelessness, mental illness, drug addiction, suicide, senior needs, teen healthy choices, youth activities, human trafficking, food insecurity, and COVID-19 impacts.  She is the Treasurer of the San Clemente Rotary Club and serves on the Advisory Board of San Clemente Village.

Having experienced her own daughter’s challenges with childhood cancer and Type 1 diabetes and witnessed that 7- year-old grow up to be a professional singer, Paula’s favorite saying is “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.  Life is about learning to dance in the rain”.
