Over the past 29 years, Teri has been involved in multiple philanthropic endeavors. She has been recognized with achievement awards for developing programs that benefit children and families in the community. She received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her efforts to prevent youth substance use and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
Her goal throughout the years has been to work with nonprofits to encourage community involvement and youth leadership. Teri Steel was instrumental in creating the COA Ministries trademarked seven-week prevention and recovery program ‘Thrive Alive’, a positive solution for youth in our community battling the throes of drug use and addiction.
