Teri Steel

In 2014 Teri helped join the efforts of Cure SC and Save SC to create a collaborative effort, a positive solution for youth in our community battling the throes of drug use and addiction. Teri was instrumental in creating the Community Outreach Alliance programs including its trademarked seven-week prevention and recovery program ‘Thrive Alive.’ In 2018 Teri was nominated by the COA Board of Directors to the position of Executive Director to help COA transition and rebrand.

Over the past 29 years, Teri has been involved in multiple philanthropic endeavors. She has been recognized with achievement awards for developing programs that benefit children and families in the community. She received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her efforts to prevent youth substance use and promote healthy lifestyle choices and will be awarded by Angel Light Academy for her leadership work in Orange County for 2020.

Her goal throughout the years has been to work with nonprofits to encourage community involvement and youth leadership. She can be reached at coa.teristeel@gmail.com
