San Clemente Non-Profit providing food and and resources to the community and healthy opportunities for the youth and community

Community Outreach Alliance (COA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization powered entirely by dedicated volunteers. We rely on donations, sponsorships, and grants to continue making a positive impact in our community. Established in 2013, after the tragic loss of 14 young lives to drug overdose, a group of caring individuals formed Community Outreach Alliance to provide healthy opportunities and vital resources for youth and the community.

Today, COA proudly provides free nutritious groceries, personal hygiene products, school supplies, rewarding volunteer opportunities, music outreach, senior support, companionship, and community partner resources for youth, families, military members, and seniors—helping them stay healthy, connected, and active. We are a non-religious group of passionate people who believe in helping and respecting others regardless of any differences.

Now, we are excited to be expanding to launch our Community Wellness Program, which will provide Medical Pop-Up Clinics in partnership with SCKE Health and Mental Health Partner Referrals & Resources. These clinics will bring free and accessible health screenings, blood pressure checks, vaccinations, and basic care to those without insurance or struggling to afford medical attention. Through our mental health partners, we will connect individuals and families to counseling, support groups, and resources designed to build resilience and provide compassionate care. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic medical care and mental wellness support with dignity.

Together, we are working hard to build a healthier, stronger, and more compassionate community.

We hope that you are inspired to join us in our efforts

COA Food connection

FOOD CONNECTION serves as a vehicle to share food and touches hundreds of individuals and/or families per month in our community who are struggling for food and proper nutrition. In Orange County’s San Clemente, 7.1% of persons living in poverty 1 vs. 11.1% in all of Orange County.  In San Clemente, 12,049 senior citizens reside, making up 18.9% of the population; 7.2% of seniors in Orange County live below the poverty line. Weekly we serve hundreds of seniors, families, and the military. Because of our amazing sponsors we get to continue to serve the over 1,400 monthly individuals in the community. Food Connection not only provides groceries to those in need in our local community, seniors, and the military but also provides volunteer opportunities for teens and adults looking for community service to help others.

coa entertainment

COA ENTERTAINMENT is a safe place for youth to express their musical talents, get some practice performing live and play with others on stage at Open Mic Nights.  Because of incredible community sponsors/relationships, youth/young adults get to perform live in front of audiences at local events, which provides a safe and sober opportunity for youth to find their passion and stay away from drugs & alcohol. We have had over 100 COA performers in past years, approximately 60 performers in the last year,  that have provided LIVE MUSIC with COA Entertainment.  Also, at all events they help share about a variety of community resources from non-profits groups that  COA partners with -all to promote a Healthy Lifestyle for Youth and Young Adults. The performers also help share about COA’s  free food distribution.

COA WELLNESS WITH SCKE HEALTH

Community Wellness program is the medical outreach component of Community Outreach Alliance will be powered by the skilled and dedicated volunteer professionals from SCKE Health, who are generously donating their time and expertise. The mental health outreach will be supported through collaborations with skilled community partners who specialize in emotional and behavioral health resources and support. Having worked for many years at SCKE Health, we’ve seen firsthand how consistent, compassionate care—both physical and emotional—can change lives. From managing clinic operations to guiding patients through screenings and follow-ups, we’ve witnessed the incredible difference even small acts of kindness can make. Now, through COA, we can extend that care to more people in need—bringing hope where it’s needed most.
