Mike RusselA San Clemente native, spent his childhood in our beach community and graduated from SCHS. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from nearby CSUF and supported various youth programs in the past including San Clemente AYSO coaching & refereeing, vacation bible school, and volunteering at the SC library for summer reading programs.

Growing up in San Clemente he was a member of SCPC’s youth group and their various outreach programs. Life has taught him to appreciate the gifts we’ve been given and that sharing them with others is the most rewarding of all. Now working for an IT consulting firm in Irvine, he spends his free time racing bicycles competitively at the highest amateur level and often racing against full-time professional cyclists.

Mike is also the vice president of his local cycling team/club that is comprised of varying levels of riders, from recreational to competitive. Mike has won races across multiple disciplines including road racing and mountain bikes, including a state championship and a national championship race. While he loves racing, the joy of being on the bike and outdoors is the most rewarding aspect of whether it’s a ride down to the beach or training for a race. He is passionate about growing participation in cycling, and specifically getting the youth into a healthy and fun activity.
